Alert Types
The different types of alerts Brokenly can send and what triggers each one.
Brokenly can notify you about several different link events.
Link Broken
Triggered when: A link that was previously healthy returns a 4xx or 5xx response, or times out.
This is the most important alert type. Broken links mean lost commissions.
Link Recovered
Triggered when: A link that was broken starts returning a healthy response again.
Recovery alerts are optional and off by default. Enable them under Settings → Alerts if you want to know when an issue has resolved itself (for example, a merchant's server came back up).
Redirect Changed
Triggered when: A link starts redirecting to a different final URL than before.
Useful for catching affiliate programs that quietly redirect to a competitor or a non-affiliate page.
Weekly Summary
Triggered: Every Monday morning (optional).
A digest of your link health across all sites — total links monitored, any currently broken, and how many were fixed in the past week. Good for a high-level pulse check without per-event noise.
